scaling layer styles

sorry if this is a really basic question 🙂 but is there any way, when you scale down a document, to scale layer styles proportionately? so, for example, if i have a large document and one layer has a thick stroke, and i scale it down, i don’t want to get left with a HUGE thick stroke and then have to adjust all my layer styles manually.
