Hello All,
I just finished installing my new machine, and am running into a ***curious*** problem with PS7.0 academic edition.
When using the "open" dialog (window), i get the drop down list for file types and I DO NOT HAVE THE OPTION of opening *.bmp files in the pull-down list. There is *.wbmp but no bmp. Also, I reinstalled the program, made sure it registered bmp files to itself, and the bmp files now have a little photoshop icon beside them. BUT when i try to open them, photoshop complains and says
"could not open "C:\blabla\bla.bmp" because it is not the right kind of document."
no, these are NOT 16 or 32bit files.
anyone know whats up? such a strange problem…
thx and cheers,
mike
