Photoshop 7 Text tool bugs me

Help!
I can’t stand the way the letters highlight in negative color. Its ridiculous.
How can you pick your colors and visualize your text as it will appear on the page when it is solorized.
I can’t find any way to turn it off.

I can’t tell you how much this means to me Bevis. I have been enduring this since 6.
I guess it pays to pull out your shortcut card.

Doing some basic courses do pay off in the end…
