Encoding eps file via photoshop

saving photoshop eps with encoding type jpeg will reduce the file size(eg in binary encoding file size is 100mb, after saving as jpeg encoding type it only takes 5mb). my doubt is this(jpeg encoding type) will raise any problem while printing. please advice me. thanks in advance
