Previously recorded actions did not come up on Photoshop startup. Can they be retrieved?

Did you Save them?

Chances are they are gone unless you did..

I thought I had saved them when I press the green" stop recording" button. Is there another "save" button?

Maybe I should back up all custom actions externally as well.

Fortunately only a few have been recorded and can be replaced.

They don’t automatically Save. There is a Save Actions item on the Flyout menu. You need to Save in a set.

Backup is also a good idea.
