How do you capture still frames from Video in Photoshop CS3 Extended? I’ve searched high and low for the correct menu combination but can’t find it.

It’s a Quicktime Movie file. I’m trying to get some photos off the video. Hey, thanks for your prompt response!

quicktime pro is what you want. (as long as its not an itunes video). if it’s just quicktime, then pro will capture it. i think i paid like 29 bux for it. works like a charm.

Sure its possible as long as the video is using one of the codecs that photoshop supports.

File>Import>Video Frames to Layers. (You will know right way if the codec is supported, either you will see the video frame or not when you do this step.)

Alt select the eyeball of the frame(layer) Now file save as. Just make sure you don’t have layers selected. This will produce a file with just one layer.
If you want you can flatten first if you don’t need the hidden layers. Your choice. Though I think I read somewheres on this forum that it may be better to flatten first just in case.
