jpg’s in CS4

I am trying to open some JPG’s in CS4 and they only come up in a black picture. How can I open them up correctly?

First step, update your video drivers. What video card do you have?

Also check your hardware acceleration settings and your system graphics settings. If the image remains black, something’s up with that, most likely.

updated the drivers for my video card, ATI Mobility Radeon X1400, and it still comes up black. I don’t know how to change the hardware acceleration settings so i didn’t try that but i can if i find out how.
