photoshop CS3 can’t reinstalled or erased

Hi there!
I use Photoshop CS3 on a Windows Vista and when I open the installation manager I get a message that I have to close Internet Explorer and then try again,

The problem is that Internet Explorer IS already closed ! What should I do?

Please help me ASAP !

Arnon,

Although CS3 never has been tested on Vista, you might try this: Copy the "Photoshop" folder off the CD to your hard drive, and run the install.exe from there.

Disable Active Desktop, the sidebar or any widgets you may be using. these things will use IE components and may throw the installer off track.

Look in Task Manager; iexplore may be running as a Process.

If the problem in #3 exists, it is probable that you have a virus that is using ixeplore to run spam and other things as a remote slave computer for a spammer or other evil person.
