Konfiguration Dell
Win XPpro SP3,
CPU Pentium 3 3 Hz,
3GB RAM,
Graphic card: ATI FireGL V3100 128Mb with driver 8.543.0.0 ( 08october 2008) Latest directX

The PS CS4 do not recognise the graphic card and GPU settings are grayed out in Preferences> performance.

As fare as I can read, information’s about the graphic card, indicate that it should meet the openGL standards. <http://ati.amd.com/products/workstation/techspecs.html>

Any advice ?

I think you really need OpenGL 2.1 & DirectX 10 support, although PS indicates differently. I do not think your card has full support for ‘Shader Model 3’ which is required for CS4. Check the subsequent models in your link.
