Hope you can tell me if I am able to re-install PS CS3 Extended after a system restore?

I think a Windows System Restore should be OK but you could always de-activate first to be on the safe side.

Formatting and then restoring from a drive image has caused problems with the licensing.

If it’s still installed, from the help menu.

Under Help, I get no option saying deactivate or anything of that kind.

You may need to click show all menu items, and wait.
