OpenGL features are disabled with GeForce FX 5200 [CS4]

Yeah my video card is kind of old, but it should support OpenGL shouldn’t it?

Anyway I’ve installed the latest drivers and even tried Adobe’s "force old card" reg hack and still it doesn’t work.

Is there something else I may be missing?

I don’t think so. You really might be one of the unlucky ones who aren’t worthy of Adobe’s new vision of the future. 😉 Regrettable, but I guess you can’t sue them over it, so maybe Santa can bring you a new card for Christmas…

That chipset is around 4 years old — or about 6 generations of GPU technology.

No, that card is not likely to meet the requirements in Photoshop.

Strange though that I can play 3d accelerated games like FarCry and yet Photoshop is too good for my card. 🙁

The FX 5200 only supports up to opengl 1.5 CS4 needs 2.0 as a min
