I’m using PSCS3 10.0.1

When I select the eyedropper tool and select a color in an open image, I right-click and choose "copy color as html," then go to open notepad and paste, nothing pastes. In fact, if I right-click in notepad, all of the options including paste are grayed out indicating that there is nothing on the clipboard to paste.

If, alternatively, I select the color, and then go to the color palette and choose the flyout menu and click on "copy color as html," again there is nothing to paste.

The color IS selected, because the swatch shows that color after I select it.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I get something like color="#6a81aa"

Have you got the eyedropper set to Point Sample?

If that doesn’t fix it, purge the clipboard and if that doesn’t fix it try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.

You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.

This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.

If that doesn’t fix it, … try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.

I’d try to quit and restart photoshop first. if THAT doesn’t fix it, then reset your preferences…

Thanks, y’all. I reset the preferences and all is well now.
