photoshop enough to edit site design

my site is <http://yooclips.com> i had the template made for me i am new to design would photoshop suite me or should i use a lesser know product ?

am a student and cant really afford it, but will come up with the money if need be,.

anyway will photoshop be enough to redesign my header on my site ? some said i might need flash too is that included with photoshop ?

I’m not sure you need Flash, but you would probably do better with an HTML editor. If you can’t afford a good one like Dreamweaver, there are several free ones available.

Hi,

I would agree with the other post that Dreamweaver might be a good investrment. Photoshop could help you build an incredible banner but Photoshop is really complex and could be time consuming to learn. Depending on how quickly you want it, you might be better off with Swish or Kool moves for animated banner and cost.

With all of that said, as a student you can get some incredible discounts on Adobe software. I own a training center and believe Adobe offers a complete solution for all of your design needs. It’s well worth the time to learn their products for what it’s worth.

photoshop isn’t a web authoring program. neither is flash. like ed says, dreamweaver is adobe’s answer. there’s a full featured free editor called nvu that’s pretty good… i’m not associated with them, btw. i’ve tried it and it’s pretty good. i’m more of a notepad designer myself though. 🙂

I am wondering if you guys are kind of overlooking what she is asking. She did not say she wanted to redesign her web site, just the header. To me that could be a graphics only issue.
Lisa345, Flash is not included with photoshop but is included in some of the CS suites.
