I have a strange problem with Photoshop. It currently takes 2 minutes to load on a dual xeon 2.4ghz/2gb ram PC. The slowdown happens up to the splash screen, then it loads as normal. Creating a new file takes 3 and half minutes using the default settings!!
Once Photoshop has loaded the program responds as normal except for loading or creating a new file. Saving files is as normal.
To solve the problem I unplug the PC network cable from the back of an ADSL wireless router, but obviously then I have no internet acces or access to the network printers.
It only happens with Photoshop, all other adobe programs are fine.
I’ve deleted the prefs file and re-installed the software, but still this problem.
Any ideas?
Gary
