For this fly-out, it always defaults back to the “Default Tool”, the Eyedropper

Yes, very annoying.

In case you didn’t know, in Preferences you can eliminate the need for using Shift to change the tools. In this case you can tap I instead of Shift + I. It’s a bit less annoying I think…

good reminder ronald. that one of the 1st things i set on a new install. uncheck the box that says to "use shift key for tool switch" in edit> preferences> general.

Thanks Ronald and dave. I unchecked that, and it does make it easier to get to that tool without the mouse.
