Max. CS3 RAM allocation with Vista -64 and 8Gb RAM?

I have a new PC runnig with Vista 64. I have installed 8Gb RAM and all PS can allocate at %100is 3255MB. Is that normal? I’ve thought it should allocate 4Gb.

That’s it for CS3. CS4 will be a native 64 bit application.

The extra ram will be used as a ramdisk:

With Vista 64, the OS will allow the app to have access to more RAM that is set within PS or provided for in the ‘Private Memory Set’.
