Select a large group of photos. File > File Info. In File Info dialogue box, enter Europe in the keyword field.

Next, select a sub-group, add the keyword as above Italy. For another sub-group add the word France, and for a third sub-group add the word England. Keywords are separated by commas.

Now, browsing all the Europe photos, select a few photos from each of the three countries AS A GROPUP (this is important), and using File Info, keyword all of that group Landscape. You will notice in the File Info dialogue box that the keyword field now says (multiple values) so add a comma, and then the word Landscape.

If you then, again, browse all the Europe photos, and go to Edit > Find > keywords contains Italy AND keywords contains Landscape, and use the criteria “Match if ALL criteria are met” NO results are returned. (It does work if criteria is “ANY criteria are met.”)

So how do you find only the images that are Landscapes in Italy?

I notice that if the word Landscape is added only to some images of Italy, then SEPARATELY only added to some images from France, and then SEPARATELY only added to some images from ENGLAND the “ALL” search criteria does work. But this is pretty lame, and totally defeats the whole idea of batch keywording. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a work-around? Does Adobe know of this issue?
