HDR image quality problem.

I just recently got a Canon XTi and have been learning how to make HDR images with my camera and Photoshop CS2. I tried a few, but keep having this problem. Could any of you help me?

I never used hdr myself, because i would rather do it manually because i believe its much more controllable, but i wonder if you are not seeing subject movement between exposures that makes image matching almost impossible? was it windy, or how long did the series of shots take to complete? i may be wrong but trees can hard at times to align perfectly due to reasons mentioned. maybe its something else altogether.

Edit, you could always take your two separate shots,and overlay them on each other and lower the opacity and see if your branches are in perfect register between the two shots and you could eliminate movement that way.

You’ve got a serious misalignment problem. Make sure ‘attempt to automatically align images’ are checked. A lot has been improved in this area in the latest Photoshop CS3, though.

Use a tripod on a windless day and watch your image quality improve dramatically. Not a great example but the only one I have easy access to:
