Is there an add-in which might provide a list of favorite folders for PS CS3? (Windows/Vista)

You can maintain a list of favorites in the Windows XP "Open" dialog. Also there are add-ins to Windows which remember frequently used folders. Don’t know about Vista.

Click "Use Adobe Dialog" button at the bottom. It lets you bookmarking folders and individual files and has some handy "sorting" buttons.

But be warned, the Adobe dialog can only be enabled if Version Cue is activated in Preferences. And using Version Cue can have disadvantages.

I’ve had Version Cue enabled for some time. I’ve checked evey control in PS Open dialogue and see nothing that allows bookmarking folders.

Where is bookmarking to be found?

What disadvantages does Version Cue bring?

Can’t you see "Use Adobe Dialog" button at the dialog bottom?
