I would like to take the best photo possible of this "perigee" moon this week. I mean "the best" with the camera that I have. It is a Sony Cybershot W200, with up to 12.1 megapixels and the usual repertoire of adjustable ISO, focus, shutter speed, etc.
I realize that I must set the camera on a tripod and take exposures short enough to prevent blurring of the image due to moon movement. I know all this and have taken the necessary steps for that. The resulting pictures show decent demarcation of the moon light and dark areas. But the pictures come out quite bluish instead of the desired white with darer areas. Any ideas why can’t I get a well contrasted image of the moon with only variations in the white/dark intensity, NOT the blue?
Many thanks in advance.
