I have recorded a memorial service that the client would like viewers overseas to be able to watch. It is 59 minutes, much too long for "YouTube." I have uploaded it in .AVI format to my own personal web host site (sdisplay.info/gail/memorial.avi) but, with my cable connection, it takes over 30 minutes to download. The persons overseas only have very slow, and expensive, telephone connections. Any suggestions on how I can get this video to stream as opposed to downloading. I have Nero 7 with recode. Is this the solution or can PE4 do something other with it?

Obviously, this was the first choice until we learned missionaries do not necessairly have access to computers with DVD/CD readers (or even electricity) in their specific regions. Many must use the local library, sometimes many, many miles from their "village." I would ask though, unless you have a technical solution to the problem presented, why would you waste my or other forum partners’ time with such a trite reply? Hi to you Mr Torn Faced.

This NG is not moderated.

The solution suggested was entirely sensible.

If they need to go to the local – or, more like, not so local – Library to read Emails or download your video, what is to stop them watching the DVD on the library computer.

Or on a portable DVD Player, (Battery powered), which are fairly common toys among the globe trotting fraternity.

If they really don’t have acess to electically powered equipment, then there is no sense in putting your video onto the Internet.

Find a free FLV or SWF converter, which will reduce its size geometrically.
