This might not be the right place but….I am using elements 6.0. New monitor about three months ago. Starting about a week ago the pictures are ‘stretched’ horizonally.
Every one looks fat, rotat 90 degrees they are real skinny. Anyone know how to correct this?
Monitor is 19" Samsung 920nw.
Thanks

You have the Monitor set to the incorrect resolution.

The figures need to be in proportion to its physical dimensions.

Thanks Roy,

I downloaded and installed new driver for monitor
The only resolution options I have are:

800 x 600
1024×768
1152×864
1280×678

It has been set at 1152×864 since I bought it.
None of the settings eliminates the problem.

???????????????

Thanks.

Your monitor’s native resolution is 1440×900. If the above are the only resolutions available, you obviously have the wrong drivers. Get the proper drivers from the Samsung website. LCD monitors have only one correct resolution. Also, 60Hz is the optimum refresh rate for that monitor. The reason everything is distorted is because you have been using aspect ratios for a regular 4×3 screen that are being stretched to fill the wide screen.
