Cannot delete folder in PE6

I have installed PE6 and made a catalog. Later I removed a folder with Explorer (I know now this is not the right way), but when I look in the catalog, the folder is still there. Now I tried to delete this folder in Adobe Elements, but this is not possible. Right clicking on it you can see the possibility of "remove folder" , but you cannot select it. Somebody has any idea how I can delete this folder?
