Using a fairly new Gateway computer with Windows Vista (unfortunately) and when attempting to send photo emails with PSE5 program it refuses to show any choices of frames for HTML photoemail. Only individual jpg attachments are allowed. Have searched Adobe and Microsoft support web sites to find any related help – not easy to turn up anything re email and PSE5. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I’m fairly certain that if you wish to add frames to photos you’re emailing from within elements you’ll have to use create from within elements to them first. I’ve never seen a mail function within a program offer framing choices after being told to send a pic via email. If that’s what you’re asking?

Thanks for the comment; however, Photoshop Elements emailing function includes an HTML photo mail function that has frames that go around each picture you include. It worked fine under XP but doesn’t under Vista, even with the PSE5 Vista update installed.

The problem is with the Photoshop Elements 5 program and the way Vista handles program access. You have to navigate to the Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0 and then find three key programs (Photoshop Elements.exe; Photoshop Elements Editor.exe; and Photoshop Elements Organizer.exe) where you will need to right-click on each of those application programs, then click on the Compatibility tab, and then select Run This P:rogram As An Administrator" in the privilege level section. You may want to reboot before trying the program again, but not absolutely necessary. This should take care of it.
