Is there an easy way to create a file with my signature on CLEAR background so that I can inbed it onto picture files? I scanned in my signature on plain white paper… but other than erasing the white… I cant figure out how to isolate the handwriting. And erasing is just too sloppy. Any ideas? Thanks.

Just change the blend mode to multiply of the signature and you should be good to go.

Or:
– Select white areas with the Magic Wand
– Convert the "Background" layer to ordinary layer (Layer > New > Layer from Background)
– Press [Delete] key to clear the selected area
– Save the document to PSD format

And after that, you can vectorise it here (if needed):

For: Robert Levine, Andrei Doubrovski & Rob Keijzer,

Gentlemen……Thank you!!!!!! It worked!!!

I appreciate your help. Sorry it took a few days to get back but this was the first chance I had to go into Photoshop and play with it.

Have a nice weekend and enjoy your holidays!

There is also a free plugin (whos name escapes me) that will strip out a white or black background which works well leaving a blended alpha. Anyone remember (it’s on my work machine but not on here so I cant look it up)
