Hi all

I’m confused… using Photoshop Elements 5.0 and still fighting with the color schemes…

After working on my picture, I’d like to save it to a file. Either with "save for web" or normal "save as". After the saving, the colors are somehow changes… the picture doesn’t look the same again, when having a look at it… How to work around this problem? How can I "store" the correct colors (the ones, I’ve choosen) in the file?

Thanks a lot, cheers, Salvi

Hi.

You have not really supplied enough info.

What file type are you saving to ???

If it is Gif then colours will be restricted.

It could also be that your Colour Management settings are causing your problem.

Again you are not giving much info.

What is the original file type ?

When saving as a Jpeg, how much compression are you applying ?

I don’t have 5, but 4 and others give you an option under Edit for Colour Settings. These determine which ICC profile will be used by PSE, if none is already there, and when you save as jpeg, you get an option to apply a Profile. This could be the cause depending on what you have selected, but only a Could Be.
