Be aware it isn’t just what you use the hard disk for but what applications and the OS put there as well. For example not only temp files and log files and similar junk but also the megabytes of stuff left in C:\Windows\ by Windows Update.

Having only 2.54GB of free space is recipe for disaster, regardless of Photoshop and its requirements. Get a new hard drive!

Unfortunately I really can’t purchase a new hard drive right now, so I’ll have to try freeing up some space. I’ll have to get a laptop within the next year anyway, so there’s no point in getting a new hard drive.

Make sure you try everything mentioned in this thread and think hard about whether you really need all the programs that have filled up your hard drive!
