I like to keep my PC clean and fast. Since I installed PS Elements 4.0, a self-starting program called apdproxy.exe actvates on start-up. I have removed it from the start-up sequence, but it seems to persistently reinstall itself. Is there a way to remove/disable apdproxy without compromising PS Elements?? Or is it something I will just have to live with?

To see if it would work, I renamed the executable file, changed the ..exe part to .eze. This way I can always change it back.

apdproxy does not show up in Windows Task Manager after a restart.

This would be one way to find out if it can be eliminated. I got an error message during this reboot, may be related to the change I made, may not. I don’t know.
