Photoshop 7.0.1 update will not install

When installing the Photoshop 7.0.1 update, I get an error message that says something like "…Update Can Not Find Photoshop 7.0 in the directory (blah blah blah) Please Use Browse To Locate Photoshop 7.0 or Install From Original CD". The problem is that Photoshop 7.0 IS istalled in the directory that the error message says it isn’t. I’ve found no way around this… Any ideas??
