Is there a way to select a range of tones in PSE3? I’m working on a image that contains sky in the background of a grove of trees. There’s hundreds, perhaps thousands, bits of sky screened by the trees. I have an appliation, Picture Window Pro, that can select a range of tones by defining the range with a curve. Can PSE3 do this?

Dyuhas,

I was just looking for this feature in PSE3 the other day and could not find it. What are you trying to accomplish after selecting the sky? Maybe there is another way to accomplish the same thing.

Adjust the tonality and saturation.

Dyuhas,

Adjust the tonality and saturation.

For that, have you tried the Enhance > Adjust Color > Replace Color command?

It pretty much does what you want to do. Use the dropper tool with the + sign to "select" all of the sky colors you want. Then, adjust with the sliders below.
