Hoping someone can help me as I’ve tried every combination when using gaussian blur with burn or dodge, and I get a very pixelated look in those areas. I have had it turn out okay as long as I’m just using blur and burn together. But if I add in healing brush or clone stamp for example I have a problem. I am flattening my layers in between. If anyone could give me some suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance Lynn

I tend not to use the burn/dodge tools at all. Instead, I use either a Birghtness&Contrast or Levels adjustment layer and paint onto the mask to limit its effect. This is much more controllable.
