I want to take a layer, make adjustments to the saturation and then apply that adjustment to multiple layers. How do I do that? when I add "create new adjustment layer" the entire file changes and not just one layer.

Hi Carol,

How to apply correction to a single layer:
– Place the adjustment layer over the content layer
– Hold down [Alt] key and click between the two layers to create clipping mask

How to copy this correction to another layer:
– Hold down [Alt] key > drag the adjustment layer to duplicate it > and place the copy over another content layer
– [Alt]-click between the two layers to create clipping mask

Read it again. You have to hold down Alt while clicking on the line between the layers in the Layers palette.
