CS3 incomplete Installation on Vista

Have a brand new Laptop and a brand new CS3. Did not install any otherSW before. When installing a window informs me about incomplete installation of 2 of 3 components. No hepl by Hotline so far only recommended to see kb401488. No success so far.
Any Idea ?

Completely uninstalled McAffee
the installation OK

All hints from Adobe didnt work.

Hans,

Out of curiosity, given the solution that worked for you…When you first installed CS3, did you disable VirusScan before proceeding with the install? I don’t use McAfee products but do have Norton Internet Security 2007, and with the anti-virus and firewall disabled prior to installing PS CS3, I had no problems with the install.

It installed fine for me under the following conditions:

Symantec Corporate AntiVirus – running
ZoneAlarm Firewall – running
Windows Firewall – off
Windows Defender – running
TeaTimer – running
Bonjour service – running
Default browser – Firefox (closed)
Skype – runnning
