I’m using Photshop 7 and all the books say that under Edit > Color Settings in the Settings pull down box there are supposed to be Predefined Color Settings to choose from. Mine only says "Custom" in the pull down. How do I find or load the Predefined Color Settings?

That’s odd, did you do a custom install perhaps? Those settings are normally installed by default.

No, it was a normal (upgrade) install. Ideas?

Not a clue. So you’re saying that the dropdown box from Color Settings is very short (no scrollbar) and only contains "custom"?

Then somehow the files have been moved or deleted.

Reinstalling would be a good idea….

Yes, the drop down only says "Custom" with no other options.
