I’m not sure who invented them, but Digital ROC and Digital GEM seem to come with a bunch of high end scanner software. They work wonders on my 1980’s negatives, when processed in my Nikon scanner software.
Digital ROC, in particular, is very processor intensive, so it’s better to let it scan 4 or 5 negatives and go get a cup of coffee, even with a fast computer. 🙂
