Date stamp on printed photos

I am using Elements 3.0.1 on Win XP Home. Having used the date stamp feature when printing photos it seems that the only colour available is black. This is fine, but when the photo is dark the date text disapears into the background. Is there a way to change the date stamp colour to white in such cases so that it remains visible on the photo??
