I made 2 brushes. When clicking the little downward pointing arrow, I identify 2 libraries, each containing these 2 brushes. In other words, they are duplicates. How can I delete one without deleting the brush files all together? If I go to the Preset Manager and highlight the 2 brushes, "delete" becomes active, but I don’t know if this will wipe out the brush files.

I figured it out. Simply deleted the extra files from the presets>brushes folder, avoiding the preset manager. The help files for this "tool" are not comprehensive.
