Restoration of faded color photographs with PE3

I recently found a few old color photos that had faded almost to entirely red and rather enjoyed reasonably successfully (IMHO) restoring the colors. I’d like to learn a little more and I wonder if anyone has any suggestions for not too expensive books on the subject; perhaps with examples?
