Browser Won’t Display "My Pictures" jumps to "Desktop" Directory

Using Photoshop Elements’ Browser:

Selecting directory "My Documents>My Pictures":

Browser begins displaying thumnails for "My Pictures" directory

Then Browser jumps to "Desktop" and display thumnails found there

Any ideas why Elements Browser won’t stay on the "My Pictures"? How can I fix this?
