Hi

I’m sure I’m yet again doing something wrong but:

If I create a new document, add a layer then select the horizontal type tool and type "test type"

the result on the screen using all the defaults – times new roman, regular,24pt and smooth- is jagged edged text which almost looks blurred.

Do tell what am I mssing?

thanks

Ian

Hi

thanks for the reply:

My monitor is set at 1024*768

the document size is 12.7cm * 12.6cm and the resoution is set to 300dpi

pixel dimmensions are 1500*1488

Lastly as you intimated it prints out perfectly.

I am totaly new to Photoshop having just bought it as part of the web premium suite. If I use the same method in Fireworks (which I am familiar with) then the text is perfect on the screen.

thanks a lot

Ian

33.3%

That zoom magnification of 33.3% is the problem. Always judge at 100%.

Any other is a rough remapping of the pixels
