I’m trying to figure out how this button might have been created in Photoshop and am having some difficulties:

The closest I can get to it is by doing the following:
1. Creating a rounded rectangle.
2. Create a new layer and select the area of the old layer.
3. Create a diagonal gradient over this new selection.
4. In the Bevel and Emboss layer style window, select Pillow Emboss and select, in the Contour tab, the sawtooth contour.
Unfortunately, this kinda leaves me unsatisfied. Any ideas as to what I can do to better approximate the look?
