That is only part of the story. Adobe has decided to release CS to the public domain, source-code and all. Why? To utterly destroy the digital imaging software market. After six years CS will have become badly hacked by hobbiest wannabe programmers, replaying the U*x legend, and then Adobe will release their all-new CSx product to reclaim the wasteland. Oh, "and world peace".
