Magic Wand to Change Color

I have made a selection of colored pixels using the magic wand. Now, I cannot for the life of me fathom the next step: actually changing the color. It must be obvious, because neither PS Help nor Photoshop Bible explains that step.

Any help appreciated.

After making the selection, add a Hue/Sat adjustment layer. the layer mask will be based upon your selection, so the adjustments you make will only affect those pixels. You may need to feather the selection to avoid a hard edge.
