I just upgraded PS cs2 to cs3. It appears to install cs3 as a seperate program and leave cs2 installed, rather than installing over cs2.

Yet, when I go to install/remove it showes cs2 at 217 MB and cs3 at 39 MB. This tells me I better not remove cs2.

Am I understanding this correctly?

Thanks for any feedback.

No. You can remove CS2 if you wish, I would suggest holding on to it a while though until you get the hang of CS 3. I usually keep the previous version.

Don’t forget to save out any custom Actions, Styles, etc., for transfer over to CS3.

That is intentionally so, for good reasons, as you may discover.

The install/remove dialog MB figures are totally unreliable – look at the folder size in Explorer if you want the facts.

As Ed said: hang on to it for a bit you may need it!
