In CS2 and CS3 when saving a setting in smart sharpen this saved setting gets overriden when changing the sliders.
Anyone who can confirm this or is it something on my machine only?

Regards,

Ronald

Yes, that is the way it works.

And its not the only filter that (un)works that way, making your last setting the next default.
On the other hand, the print process does not retain your settings from image to image so you have to tediously make the same settings when printing different images.
A logic known only to Adobe.

You also can’t retrieve those saved settings, like for archiving from CS2 or import and use them in CS3. Sigh…

Well, apparently you can’t rely on those saved settings anyway as there are probably changed.

Sigh indeed…

Have you tried using actions?

Mathias,

To be honest, no I didn’t thought of actions. That would indeed be a nice work around.

Thanks
