It’s smart object fun day it seems….only not the fun part.
I’ve got an EPS of a logo bound in a square box with a solid yellow colour right upto the the edge..I place as a smart object in a document in PS CS2 and when I zoom right up on my layer’s square edge it has a pixel of semi transparent yellow on the left and right edges…not a massive problem as it is, but if I make a matte of the layer’s alpha channel and then our editor composites that back over a yellow background in the edit suite I have nasty grey edges on the left and right on the layer.
Anyone know why this might be?
I stick everything down on black and then a separate matte and the editor is using an additive input chroma key, so all black should be taken away, but it ain’t with smart objects. I know I could manually fix all these – but that really cuts into my workflow. I use smart objects to keep these editable and rescalable, but this is a big problem for me.
