I’ve bought one of the new iMacs and the updates to Photoshop and Lightroom. Photoshop on my old Mac (a G4 running Tiger) is currently CS2 and Lightroom is 1.4.1

Seems like I have two options for doing the upgrades.

1. Upgrade Photoshop and Lightroom on my old Mac, deauthorize Photoshop, transfer the apps to the new iMac and reauthorize Photoshop.

2. Deauthorize Photoshop, transfer the apps to the new iMac, Reauthorize Photoshop and then run the upgrades.

Is one of these preferable? In either event I know I can only run the S/W on one machine at a time.

Thanks
Nick

You can just install your new Upgrades directly onto your new Mac.

The previous version doesn’t have to be present; you just enter its Serial Number when asked.
