Arrow keys won’t work!

I recently purchased CS2 and ever since installation, my arrow keys will not work in the program. I have double checked and have my move tool selected. Also, in the text mode, if I press an arrow key, I get characters like ‘, & and -. I have uninstalled the program and then reinstalled and also tried to repair all to no avail. Help! I really like being able to use my arrow keys to slightly nudge a layer. Many thanks in advance!

Well, you could trash/reset Preferences as per the FAQs. I don’t know if that will help since its a new installation.

Were you running any antivirus programs during the installation? I suppose that couoe do somewthing bad, though I usually don’t turn antivirus off during installs. But some aggressive "protection" like Nortons might mess up the install.

Just a thought.
