Since there’s not an Adobe TV category I thought I’d try here…

I’ve found Adobe tv <http://tv.adobe.com> to have useful information, but why use Flash and not Quicktime? I’ve an account at Lynda.com and the QT movies load and play great (on minimum DSL) but the Flash movies are, well, buggie — (or is it buggy) — slow, difficult to play, unstable, etc., and what does the "embed" button do?

Anyone?

– 48 MacBook Pro 16″ mockups

Adobe owns Flash? Color management?

Flash is more accessible on the web as more people have Flash installed than they have Quicktime installed.

There are too many variables to make a generalized comparison of QT to FLV. One video file may appear to download/play more slowly if it was encoded at a higher bitrate.

‘Embed’ allows you to share the video on your blog.

ps1,

Like you, I detest the flash tutorials, but I’ve given up all hope of Adobe and Adobe-sponsored sites reverting to QT. There’s one exception which is better left unidentified so no pressure is exerted on that one too.
