Hi all!

My boss just aquired an old DELL DIMENSIONS XPS T450 Pentium 3. By the way, if he reads this, RELAX (these folks can really help) Anyway when I try to install Photoshop 6 or 7 the computer doesn’t auromatically start to run the software installer. When I go into the PhotoShop disc all I get are the various files with no installer to be found. What am I doing wrong!?

No capital "s".

And TWO "o’s"

Ever.

So is this correct: PHOTOsHOP?

You’re probably not doing anything wrong ….

Try this: after placing the disk in your CD drive, and if the autorun doesn’t autorun; click the "Start" button, then "Run". In the Run dialog box, type in d:\autorun.exe and click OK. See if that gets things started in the right direction …

Hope that helps …..

Perhaps it’s a Macintosh CD…

Go to the Photoshop folder. Click on Setup.exe

The actual setup file is probably buried in the Photoshop directory. The autorun should also start if you double-click it. The autorun simply executes the setup.exe from a subdirectory when you choose install.
